I WAS ON THIS WEBSITE FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS WHEN I FORMED AN INSTANT HATRED TOWARDS THE WEBSITE AND HOW UNORGANIZED AND DIFFICULT IT IS TO USE. I really do NOT want to go about finding a partner (for life) on this website! I DID Google some reviews it was very highly rated!
I should have read the terms and conditions thoroughly so it is partially my fault BUT I cannot believe that any of these terms and conditions would have passed any business regulations! I paid a whopping $118 for the membership! They refused to refund me even though I had NOT viewed any numbers, sent any SMS to any person AND hadn't even used it for 24 hours.
Here are those ridiculous terms:
8. Membership and Money back Guarantee
By registering your profile through any of our domains [Listed in the Annexure] or by the remittance of fees you become a member of BM.
BM offers a 100% refund if members do not get any response within 30 days. To be eligible for the refund, members should fulfill the following:
Upload atleast one photo.
Contact a minimum of 10 members.
Inspite of fulfilling these requirements,
If members do not get a reply to their Personalised Messages.
If members are not contacted by other members.
If members do not view/take any verified contact numbers.
If others don't view/take your contact number.
Moneyback guarantee is available only for 3, 6 & 9 months Classic Super, Classic Plus and Classic Memberships.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, I am letting as many people know about this (LEGALLY, NO SLANDER) by writing blogs on business websites and complaints directly to them so that they do NOT get caught up in this. They will NOT even refund a cent of my money.
The customer representatives are really....for lack of a better word..quite dense....I asked her the same question multiple times through chat(as well as calling in and speaking with a man)and I had to repeat myself several times and I got the same answer saying "please hold while I check on your information in the database" now why would you need to say that multiple times...you would have thought that one would have already checked that the first couple times when you decided to give me that information?!?! And if you haven't checked my information, how do I know if it's accurate or not!? Then I figured that maybe the women didn't understand English (even though I chose the ENGLISH version chat) so I spoke Hindi with her. She told me to speak in English.
ALL IN ALL, USE SHAADI.COM AND NOT BHARAT
In summary, I would not recommend Bharat Matrimony to a friend.
