123-Matrimonials is a free matrimonial site primarily for single people in India who are looking for a lifelong relationship. There are no membership fees at all, but the site offers a detailed search engine and a decent number of members.

123 Matrimonials calls itself the “#1 Free Indian Matrimony” website which is trusted since 2000. Whilst it’s true that there are a fair number of members to choose from and you can contact them as often as you like, it's hard to discern how many members are active. Plus, this site is very basic and lacks a lot of the features we’d expect to find on a dating site.

You can build a profile page with photos, providing enough information about your life and hopes for the future. However, a lot of members haven’t uploaded a profile picture so it’s very difficult to decide whether or not there is any attraction between you. As such, you must rely on the information they have provided. Another way of looking at this is that you’re probably going to get a lot more attention on this website if you include a profile photo!

You can find out who is online when you are, and talk using an instant messenger service. There are no forums, chat rooms, blog posts or webcam options, however, so this is relatively limited. Still, if you just want to find members and chat to them, this is a viable option.

The site offers very in depth search options, which is a good way to avoid members who won’t suit your tastes. You can also locate members based on their location or interests, so finding single locals isn’t too difficult.

As you explore the site, you can rate members’ photos, add them to your list of favorite members, add to them to a list of rejects or entirely block communications from a member. This allows you to further refine your search results by excluding members you know you have no interest in.

123-Matrimonials.com is completely free to use, and therefore if you have no money to spend on a dating website, it’s worth considering. However, the somewhat severe lack of members with photos, and the very limited set of features, means that this can feel a fairly lonely site to visit. Still, if you do locate a few members you like the sound of, you can get in touch as often as you like without paying a rupee for the privilege.
