FreeSathi is a completely free Indian dating website. You can perform detailed searches to find your ideal partner, and the site recommends members based on your preferences. 

Members are able to build relatively detailed profiles with information about their life, beliefs, habits and family. This provides a useful system for finding similar members to those you like the sound of, as it means data can easily be cross-referenced and the Free Sathi system can make accurate estimations as to which members you might be best suited to.

All members can upload a photo and you can see it in full. You can easily express your interest in a member by clicking a button or you can choose to send a message to them directly. If you enjoy chatting to a member, you can add them to your list of favorites so you can find them again later on.

The “feeling lucky” button will take you to a random profile, which is a good way to check out people you might otherwise have ignored. Alternatively, you can check your “charismatic” matches, who are members which suit your preferences.

Aside from altering your profile, reading other profiles and chatting to members, there’s not a great deal to do on FreeSathi.com. This is a shame because the basics are in place and it’s great that the site is free. If only there were a few extra community features, such as a forum or chat room area, we’d be really impressed. At the moment, though, it feels a little bit inactive because there’s no way to engage with groups or multiple members at once.

The site’s search options are quite extensive and allow you to really narrow in on the kind of person you’re interested in. The options range from physical attributes to interests, from religion to family life. If one particular element is important to you, or you’re quite picky and want to meet someone with very particular attributes, you should be able to find a few options here. We were also pretty pleased with the number of results we received from our searches, and were happy to find that most members had completed a detailed profile with a photo.

Whilst FreeSathi might lack a fair few useful features, it does allow you to build a decent profile and search for dates easily. What’s more, it’s free! As such, there’s nothing to lose from signing up and taking a look around – who knows what you might find?
